Practical guide

Prepare an Anubis pair you can actually breed

Compare specific Anubis parent alternatives, check the individual Pals and prepare the farm, cake and incubator before starting.

Practical guide

I have the parent species. Is the breeding plan ready?

A species combination is only the first check. You need two distinct individuals with opposite sexes, an available Breeding Farm and cake. Plan the incubator too if your goal is a hatched Anubis.

When this applies

The listed parent alternatives produce the Anubis species under standard breeding rules. This is a preparation guide for those alternatives, not an exhaustive parent list, capture route, passive inheritance plan or mutation forecast.

Before you start

  • Compare the actual individuals you own with the parent table. One Anubis cannot fill both positions in an Anubis + Anubis pair.
  • Record each parent's sex. An unknown sex means you must check it; it does not mean the species combination is impossible.

Keep beside the game

Choose a listed pair whose two individuals you already own and whose sexes are opposite. If no pair is ready, compare what is missing instead of treating the first listed pair as the best choice.

The reference below shows preparation for the farm, cake and incubator. Technology access and sufficient ingredients are separate conditions. Cake amounts are for one cake, not a promise that one egg will satisfy every trait goal.

Sex adjustment is an optional alternative using a Pal Surgery Table and Pal Reverser. Owning the two species alone does not prove you can use that alternative now. Compare this preparation with obtaining another suitable individual.

Prepare a batch without counting ingredients twice

Plan 3 completed breeding cycles using standard cakes, with a suitable pair and 1 cake already prepared. You need to make 2 more cakes. Compare their direct ingredients with your remaining loose ingredients.

Why the result changes

Subtract prepared cakes before multiplying the recipe. Then subtract loose ingredients once from that total. Farm and incubator construction are separate, reusable preparation; do not charge their materials again for each cycle.

Check this in game

Check the pair and farm first, then reserve the cakes and prepare hatching. The chosen 3 cycles are a planning example, not a promised budget for desired traits.

Your next steps

  1. Unlock and build the Breeding Farm. Prepare cake and put it in the farm's cake box; each completed breeding needs cake.
  2. Assign the two distinct, opposite-sex parents to the farm. If they are not breeding, check their assignment, availability and the cake box.
  3. Collect the egg and use an Egg Incubator. Egg production and completion of hatching are separate preparation checks.
  4. Confirm the resulting species. Repeat planning separately if you also want particular passives or other traits; the species result does not promise those traits.

When the result is different

Both listed parents owned, opposite sexesUse those individuals once the farm and cake are ready. An incubator is still needed to complete hatching.
One parent missing or sex unknownIdentify the missing species or check the individual. Do not label the entire combination impossible.
Both parents have the same sexUse a different suitable individual, or deliberately prepare the Pal Surgery Table and a Pal Reverser if available. This guide never changes a Pal automatically.
One Anubis owned for the self-pairA second distinct Anubis of the opposite sex is required. The same individual cannot be counted twice.
When the result is different
ConditionResult and next action
A listed combination does not startCheck that two different individuals are assigned, their sexes are opposite, and the farm has cake.
An egg exists but the plan is unfinishedCheck incubator preparation. Incubation duration depends on conditions not modeled here.
An old guide lists a different pairDo not silently mix old parent tables with this list. Confirm the combination for the game conditions you are using.

What this does not establish

Only the parent alternatives shown here are supported. Modded rules, capture difficulty, exact egg budgets, inheritance probabilities and hatch times are not calculated. Missing data is different from a known impossible condition.
