Copper weapons: share the material budget without spending stock twice

Prepare a Copper Sword and Copper Mace by counting finished weapons, shared ingots and planks, then the ore still needed. Compare two inventory situations.

Practical guide

How much more ore do I need when two weapons share my materials?

Count finished weapons first. Combine the ingots and planks needed for the remaining weapons, use each stock once, then refine only the missing ingots. Separate calculations using the same inventory can understate what you need.

When this applies

Standard listed material costs for Copper Sword, Copper Mace and Copper Ingot. The Simple Workbench, Furnace and required recipes must already be available. Room bonuses and server cost changes are not applied; compare the quantities with your current game before using the plan.

Before you start

  • Choose how many finished weapons you want in total. A weapon you already own can meet that goal; this is not a request to craft the same number again.
  • Count the finished weapons, Copper Ingots, Planks and Copper Ore you can actually use. Keep resources reserved for another project out of that inventory.
  • Check the recipe quantities at the workbench and furnace. If a displayed cost differs, this standard-cost example no longer gives your exact shopping list.

Keep beside the game

Each row shows one craft at the listed standard cost. The weapon recipes share ingredients; the ingot recipe is expanded only after existing ingots have been used.

Remaining weapons = target minus finished stock, with a minimum of zero. Add their ingot and plank requirements, subtract those stocks once, then multiply the missing ingots by 20 and subtract ore stock once. Treat every shortage as at least zero.

An already owned sword changes the ore you must gather

Your final goal is 1 Copper Sword and 1 Copper Mace. You have 8 Copper Ingots, 12 Planks and 250 Copper Ore. Compare having neither weapon with already owning the sword.

Why the result changes

With neither weapon made, gather 230 more ore and 4 planks. If the sword is already owned, the stock covers the mace: refine 8 ingots using 160 ore. Plan both targets together so the same inventory is not spent twice.

Check this in game

In the second case, 90 ore and 4 planks remain. Keep them in the next inventory count. If you wanted an additional sword rather than 1 in total, the owned sword would not remove that extra target.

Your next steps

  1. Set aside the finished weapon that already satisfies a target. Combine the material requirements for everything still to be made.
  2. Allocate existing ingots and planks to that combined demand. Calculate ore only for the ingots still missing, then subtract the ore already available.
  3. Gather only the remaining materials. Refine the missing ingots in the Furnace, then craft the remaining weapons at the Simple Workbench.
  4. After crafting, recount the remaining stock before planning another item. Do not reuse the starting inventory in a second plan.

When the result is different

Two separate plans both say the stock is enoughThey may both be spending the same ingots, planks or ore. Combine the targets and allocate inventory once.
The game asks for a different amountCheck room bonuses, server settings and the displayed recipe. Do not assume the standard figures include your modifiers.
The required materials are ready but crafting is unavailableCheck recipe access and the required station separately. A material budget does not unlock a recipe or build the station.
Planks are still missingThe plan stops at planks. Prepare those separately; it does not expand the lumber chain or count its by-products.

What this does not establish

This is a preparation example, not a recommended combat loadout. It excludes station construction, unlock progression, crafting time, repairs, salvage and cost modifiers. Planks are a boundary material. For other items or recipe choices, use the specialist crafting tool and check its stated scope.
