A translated store page does not mean the game has that language

Decide what you need to read and hear. Interface, subtitles and full audio are separate support entries; a translated description or familiar Steam menus cannot answer all three questions.

For checking official language support and ordinary Steam/game settings. This does not install translation patches or change your store country.

Check the combination you actually need

  1. On the exact game's store page, read the supported-language table, expanding it if needed. Find your language and read the interface, subtitles and full-audio columns separately, including any notes.
  2. Write down your requirement, such as readable menus and subtitles with a different spoken language. A check in the interface column does not establish translated speech; two supported languages do not guarantee that their text and voice can be mixed.
  3. If your required feature is unlisted or ambiguous, consult the publisher's language instructions for that edition. Keep it unconfirmed until clarified. A community translation and official support are different things.

Set it, then test the relevant scene

  1. Look for a language setting in that game's Steam properties and in the game's own options. Use the publisher's instructions when they differ. Changing the Steam client's display language is not a guarantee that every game will follow it.
  2. After changing a supported setting, allow any language download to finish and restart when instructed. Check separate text, voice and subtitle controls where the game provides them; not every game offers all of these controls.
  3. Check the parts you need: a menu for interface text and, where supported, a scene with spoken dialogue and subtitles enabled. If the result differs, record which part is wrong, the selected settings and game version for support. A translated title screen alone is not an audio test.

Read the support claim correctly

Subtitles supported, voice not listed

Illustrative case: the table lists your language for interface and subtitles, but not full audio. Plan for reading that language; do not expect translated voices merely because the menus are translated.

Two languages, no separate voice control

Illustrative case: both languages are supported, but the available setting changes the whole game. The mixed text-and-voice combination is still unconfirmed. Look for a documented separate control before assuming it is possible.

What a language listing cannot tell you

Support labels do not rate translation quality or prove that every scene works correctly. Availability and settings can differ by edition or update; a missing option needs game-specific clarification.

Check each required language feature, follow the game's settings, and verify the actual text and dialogue you need.
